Everyone on our platform should feel comfortable, respected, and safe. To make this happen, we require all of Culturae’s members to accept, embody, and champion a core set of our network’s fundamental beliefs. We take our Code of Conduct seriously. If you experience any issues, feel free to contact hello@culturaelabs.com.
01 | Everyone deserves dignity and respect.
We treat each other with the care we deserve. This attitude should permeate the full spectrum of our encounters, and is expressed by accommodating our access needs, stating and honoring our boundaries, and creating room for everyone to facilitate fair and transparent negotiations.
02 | Discrimination has no place here.
We have a zero-tolerance policy against all forms of discrimination. This includes but isn't limited to willful acts of racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, colorism, ageism, classism, and xenophobia. Anyone found conducting discriminatory practices or behavior on this platform will be immediately banned.
03 | Equity centers the historically excluded.
We center historically excluded people in the creative field by setting affordable rates, integrating intuitive accessibility features, and building diverse cohorts that reflect the abundance of the creative sector’s lived experiences. We acknowledge the value of non-traditional life paths, and we prioritize the leadership of historically excluded communities to create a stronger, more equitable industry.
04 | Consent must always be given—never assumed.
Our network is a consent-centered negotiation space. We actively dismantle harmful assumptions and biases by asking for everything. Permission, pronouns, clarity, and preferred methods of engagement are just a few examples.
05 | We’re on the same team.
We respect each others’ shared goals in the partnerships that are created within this space. That means aligning on timelines, following up respectfully, honoring commitments, and communicating honestly.
06 | Safe spaces are always evolving.
Our Code of Conduct isn’t perfect. We're always learning about new ways to create an empathy-driven environment. As we continue to evolve our thinking, we will continue to update these guidelines.
